Spotlights over 100 Performers of All Abilities!

DramaWay’s annual celebration of the exceptional artistic achievements of Toronto’s special needs community will take place on May 15th, June 10th and June 17th, 2017. Our Annual Theatre Showcase will take place on two dates May 15th and June 17th.

Break Free to be performed by DramaWorks Mississauga at the Maja Prentice Theatre on May 15th is a magnetic theatrical play about the dynamics of family, friendship and freedom featuring 15 talented ErinoakKids’ clients. You will be transported to a time decorated with moments of laughter and compassion, where the constraints of vanity are thrown to the wind. With stunning dance numbers to brilliant quips, the story of Break Free is sure to illustrate the beauty of the true self and the ability to disarm with nothing but a positive attitude, smile and a little help from your friends.  Our largest and biggest Theatre Showcase will take place on June 17th and feature 4 live theatrical stage performances Galaxy Trek of the Star Guardians at Papermill Theatre.  Galaxy Trek of the Star Guardians is a Sci-Fi play of epic proportions inspired by Star WarsStar Trek and Guardians of the Galaxy.  An entire galaxy is at risk from the evil galactic overlord “Commander Poutine” and his trusted advisor “Darth Serious”. Join Princess Leia and the crew of the Enterprise as they save the Royal inhabitants of the Garden Moon of Luna. Our heroes meet Aliens, Yoda and his Mom, Robot Droids all the while learning valuable lessons along the way!

Our RhythmWorks Dance Showcase 2017 will take place on June 10th at Swansea Town Hall featuring 20 dancers in 2 electrifying dance performances inspired by stories of Ancient Greece & Modern Canadian Musical Classics!
