Another big skill I’ve learned through DramaWay is advocacy, a skill I put into practice in the classroom and in my life outside of DramaWay. For example, I successfully advocated for an increase in my volunteer hours from two days to five days a week, allowing me to contribute even more to my community. And I’ve helped with fundraising events for lots of organizations I’m involved with. I’ve learned how to advocate for myself whenever I need more support on a personal level, as well as when I feel ready to be involved in more things in the community. I've taken the initiative to join the Praise Band at my church and increase my involvement and amount of hours volunteering at groups like St. Alban's Boys and Girls Clubs, and I've pursued swimming lessons to try out some new skills and embrace new experiences.
