History

DramaWay was founded by Danielle Strnad, theatre artist and social service worker, in 1999. Danielle saw an opportunity in the community to provide creative-arts programs, emphasizing a uniquely compassionate, process-oriented approach to educational arts programming for individuals with special-needs, and mainstream individuals. Danielle’s philosophy, which is the backbone of DramaWay, is to always put participants first.

DramaWay has grown from running one small program with 5 participants, to currently hosting 14 programs across the GTA for individual participant enrollment, spanning the realm of the fine arts including theatre, film, dance, visual art, singing, and our drama-based life-skills program.

DramaWay’s tailor-made programs and workshops are presently running at a multitude of organizations, TDSB schools, Montessori schools, nursery schools and day programs including Pegasus Community Project, L.I.N.K.S. at Variety Village, and Addus, among others. These programs and workshops complement and enhance programming while helping schools and organizations to reach their own goals.
